Usually we start learning by understanding the theory. But when we actually learn naturally we start learning by having a clear image of what we will be able to do when the learning is done. This is where we start.
When I am a leader:
I am aware
I hear what people are saying and see what they are doing without being hijacked by my thoughts, projections, prejudices, expectations, emotions so I can gather valid information about the person and situation.
I hear what I am saying and see what I am doing without being hijacked by my thoughts, projections, prejudices, expectations, emotions so I can gather valid information about the person and situation.
I separate my thoughts (desires, projections, prejudices, interpretations) from what I observe and I am aware of them without being hijacked by them.
I feel my emotions, I am aware of them without being overwhelmed by them or disconnected from them.
I listen to the thoughts and emotions other people are experiencing and help them articulate them without being overwhelmed by them or disconnected from them.
I relate to influence
I create, maintain, assess and fix the relationship I have with each person in order for the person to welcome collaboration in influence:
I make myself known
I add subtitles to my actions, thoughts and emotions
I ask for and listen to the other’s subtitles
I act responsibly in collaboration
I am honest
I act with integrity
I create safeness and safety
I keep myself safe
I keep others safe
I coach people to stay safe in collaborations
I take responsibility
I make just decisions
I check and intervene in reactions to threat
I am available to collaborate
I say explicitly what I want and don’t want
I ask and listen to what other people want and don’t want
I influence movement (see actions at Influencing motion)
I demonstrate care for people’s needs and well-being
I connect with people and create meaningful relationships
I make a generous assumption about people
I influence motion
I observe the motion of people, I observe what they do, when, how they do their tasks objectively. I see them and hear them and collect information also
